Well...I have owned this watch since 2007...in that time, between then and now, it has been dropped in fire, taken several plunges of up to 75 feet, been on several skydiving adventures, worn on a daily basis in temps of 60 below zero, worn on a daily basis in temps between 125-140 degrees, worn for extended forays in humid jungle environments where it is constantly exposed to moisture 24/7, I have worn it fighting forest fires, it has been bashed on rocks during river rafting /kayaking adventures, several snorkeling trips, constantly exposed to fresh and salt water alike, zip lining, backpacking, exposed to swamp and mud during 4x4 overland expeditions, it has taken the abuse of being worn on several occasions to the firing range where it has felt the kick of my .357-.44-and my S&W 500 magnum .50, it has traveled to 5 of the 7 continents, I have chased storms with it, humanitarian rescue with it...and just plain worn it to the bar...and so much more. I have owned, and subsequently "broken", Omega Seamasters, a Rolex Submariner, a Zodiac Super Seawolf, 2 Tag Heuers, a Chase Durer 1000XL UDT Special Forces watch (yes, the same watch Michael Westen wears on "burn Notice"), several Skagen and Timex watches, and finally one very expensive Brietling...I have broken those watches doing the same activities/adventuring/accidents/and life living, that I have put this watch through...This watch is a tank...literally. It even flew off the top of my car doing 60 mph down I-5 (along with a padlock that I left on top of my car after a Mountain bike trip). It doesn't look as pretty as it once did...but, it still works flawlessly, the crystal has not been comprimised, and other than replacing the band and one battery change...no issues. The best watch I have ever owned, keeps great time, the chrongraph works well, and you can just plain kick the s*** out of it.So...if your an adventurer, extreme sports guy/girl, military, special forces/ops, survivalist, prepper, accident prone, or just someone who leads an active lifestyle....this is your watch. This Russian Diver Chronograph comes in a variety of face and bezel colors... and for you large percentage of "wanna be" Special Forces, Black ops, Law enforcement, Firefighter people...and...all you REAL Special Forces, Black ops, Law enforcement, Firefighter people...this watch comes in all flat tactical black the model # is 7182.I recently purchased a second one last October for wearing to social occasions and out and about as mine has several...scars, lol! My only complaint is the leather band...just not durable enough, but Invicta makes a very durable (rubber?) band that can be purchased as a replacement...it still gets 5 stars...Epic watch, Invicta...Outstanding job!Typically the Russian Diver's come with a rubber style band, but I decided to give this one a try, not a top choice of mine, but I just couldn't get over the price. The watch is very nice. The leather band to my dismay is rather attractive and comfortable. The watch was not a bad choice and I do get compliments while wearing it. I rated it a 5 star because of price, craftsmenship and construction. You just can't beat either. Sophisticated, yet simple, is my best description of this watch. I really like this watch, especially on those days when I just want everything simple. If you know anything about Invicta, and you like their products; enough said. I don't regret this purchase and would do it again. Later all. This is my first Russian Diver. I have been wearing Invicta's for awhile now, and this one is a great quality watch. The band is wide, the clasp is thick. The way it looks on my arm is amazing. I have about a 7" wrist and it fits me perfect. It's quite comfy for as big as it is, and as big as the crown is. It doesn't really jam into my hand too bad, i usually wear it just a tad bit loose. Everywhere I got i get complements about it, it demands attention.Whatch real cool. Quality - super. View - extra. But have some negative moment - belt have some bad smels, like diesel. I hope in future problem ended.Excellant looking watch. Very heavy and large. Most impressive to others. Always have someone asking me about it. However, I did have a small clip come off one of the buttons and had to have it replaced. It keeps excellant time. Much more accurate than my Rolex.firstly i love invicta watches. the classic russian diver is a must have. its big and an eye-catcher. like i said i love invicta watches. this chronograph model adds that extra to it. if you dont like to be noticed, dont buy :-)Thanks youI have had this watch for a couple of years now and love it. I have a large collection of watches but always seam to favour this one above all others. When I brought this I was concerned about a couple of things like the size, how heavy it was, will that chain break, and how will the leather band hold up. Well the answers were interesting. The watch is for sure big and heavy compared to most others, if you have a wrist circumference of less than 7 inches it would look silly and you probably won't like it - above 7 inches you should be fine (my wrist is 8 inches and it is the perfect size). When I brought it I did not expect that chain to last as it looked too light to stay together for long but it has lasted fine. The band has held up surprisingly well and I would expect to get another 3 - 4 years from it at this rate. Overall its a pretty strong watch with mine taking a belting so many times, yet not even a scratch. This is a watch that will get noticed and get comments from people because on a person with larger wrists it looks fantastic.
